Canada, a short visit!

Today we had the extreme pleasure of visiting the Canadian embassy in Ghana, it was a nice visit to Canada! We met with Canadian high commissioner of Ghana and Sierra Leonne who explained to us about the role of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD). For those of you that don’t know, DFATD is helping fund the MEDA grow project and multiplied every dollar we raised by 9! Which means the close to $40 000 we were able to raise actually equals $400 000 for the GROW project!

We also met Tina and Daniele from Canada who told us about their work and how important it is now that we go home and spread the message of the GROW project and continue to do great work!

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone home in Canada who made peopleCare run smoothly while we were gone! Trust me, your hard work has not gone unnoticed and we frequently talk about your support in all of our meetings!

We fly out tonight to return to Canada and cannot wait to share our stories with you! We had a truly inspirational time in Ghana!

Keep checking out the blog, even after we return to hear about our reflections of the trip! We are preparing ourselves for reverse culture shock as we get used to our comfy lifestyles again at home.

Thanks again and we will see you soon!
